LIC to launch ‘Jeevan Varsha’ on Feb 16

The Life Insurance Corporation will launch ‘Jeevan Varsha,’ a close-ended guaranteed addition plan providing benefits on death as well as maturity on February 16. Talking to newspersons today, Senior Divisional Manager N Sreenivasan said the money back plan with only two policy-terms of nine and 12 years, offered attractive and guaranteed additions of Rs 65 and 70 per 1000 assured per year respectively and it would be in force till March 31.

Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly Oommen Chandy said he would observe a day’s fast at Pathanamthitta on February 14 protesting the alleged neglect of ‘the Chengara Land Struggle.’ In a statement here, he claimed that Chief Minister V S Achuthandan had ‘failed to respond’ to his three letters and two meetings with him so far or in taking any action to settle the 560-day-old land agitation.

Light Logics Holography and Optics Ltd won the ISBA award for the ‘Best Start-up Engineering Company for 2008′. These awards for us at MobMe are recognition to our efforts and vision to make innovation our way forward for our growth along with putting Kerala on the map for innovation, said MobMe chief executive Sanjay Vijay Kumar.

Health & Beauty 2009, an exhibition focusing on health, fitness and beauty, being held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Kadavanthra, will conclude on Sunday.
